Is it that good of a deal to risk buying something that might not fit or you might not be happy with?

I am about your size 5'10" 200lb and I like the XL in Harley stuff vs the L. the large seemed a little constricting to me when trying on leather

I've found Harley jackets run pretty true to U.S. size, for example if you wear large shirt=large jacket, x-large shirt= x-large jacket. Unlike leather from Jafrum or the likes where x-large shirt = 5-XL jacket or something crazy. Just my experience anyway.

For me they run large. I’m 5’6 about 185 and most shirts and jackets I’m a “large”, but any HD jacket I need to go Medium to get proper fit. Large isn’t usually terrible, but medium is clearly right for me when comparing back to back in the store.

I've found the HD sizing chart to be pretty accurate. Get help when taking measurements, and wear the heaviest shirt you would wear under the jacket when measuring the chest. Get an accurate sleeve measurement, nothing worse than sleeves, and waist riding up when reaching for the bars.

Some will say they run small, while others of simular height, and weight will say they run large. Everyone has a different build, apples and pears.

Stopping by a dealer for a test fit will confirm the accuracy, or inaccuracy of the sizing chart.

go to you local dealer and try it on....and then order on line. Be sure to wear it at the dealer where tried it on.

You do realize the OP is talking about a discontinued item.

I also have found that H-D stuff runs small. I normally wear  XL but for my Tripple vent leather (4 -5 years since released). I bought the 2X. I could have bought the large, but there would not have been room to layer up when it really cold.

Found the same thing with the H-D Rain gear. Only issue with that is the pants are pretty big. But I can put the jacket on over my leather.

As others stated, try a few on at a dealership, and make a judgement call from there. I highly doubt that sizing changed that much, unless your looking at something 20 years old.

Interesting. My experience has been that they run small. I had three XL genuine jackets and they were all tight. I normally wear an XL. My non-Harley jacket is an XL River Road and it fits perfectly. If you're not stuck on buying new there are a lot of deals to be had but I would try them on at the dealership so you know where you're at before buying online. I just missed a genuine jacket. It was a NWT XXL jacket that sold for $158 at auction and no, it wasn't on ebay. Would have liked that one.

Appreciate all the input, I'm finally going to be able to run by the dealer today and try on a few different styles/sizes to get an idea about fit.
