Default Harley Davidson leather jacket sizing

Kicking around buying a discontinued Harley leather jacket. Do these jackets generally run large or small? Harley's sizing charts for the jackets they sell now say I need a large, but if they run large I don't want to be swimming in it, but if I went with a medium I don't want to have it be constricting either.

One I bought was a tad small so when with next size up. But that was 4 years ago.

Harley sizes run small but what I did is stopped by the stealership and tried on jackets before buying online.

I'll do this, hopefully Harley hasn't changed their sizing specs since the jacket I'm looking at was discontinued.

For me they seem to run a touch large. I'm 6'1"/200lbs and a Large FXRG fits me a little big with the liner out (pretty good fit with the liner in).

Go try on jackets at your local HD. The discontinued jacket should fit about the same.

Interesting... I normally wear a large, and I'm around 5'9" and 195 lbs. Definitely going to have to go try some on at the dealer.

If you decide to go forward with the purchase and you find it’s not a good fit, you can always resell it.
