So I went to the dealer the other day, looking to get rid of the wifes scout. She is very short so limited on what she can ride. They had a superlow with only 58 miles on it. She was interested but it had forwards which was listed on the price she cannot reach them so we asked if they would put back the mids. Well of course they wanted to charge for them but in the price was the forwards so the bike became expensive. We can get a new one a couple grand cheaper so lets order a new one. The salesman called her back and said the superlow is discontinued. Does anyone know if this is true? And if so does this mean a new sportster? In England I see a 1200 superlow and it appears to have a monoshock so why don't we have this model? By the way he also said 2-3 other sportsters discontinued. The year just started.
There has been some buzz in my area (mainly from people who work closely with local dealers) that a few of the Sportsters will not be back next year, the Superlow being one of them. The 48s might be back next year, but that might be their last year.
My guess is is that they are getting ready for the new Custom model slated for 2021.

Seat Height, 25.8 in (656 mm) Doesn't say laden or not.
A Softail Slim sits as low as the SuperLow.
SEAT HEIGHT, LADEN 25.5 in.
SEAT HEIGHT, UNLADEN 26 in.
Thanks you just opened up a whole new option. The street bob has further back controls, a front lowering kit, and short reach bars. I never would have even looked at softtails for her.
