I wonder what one of these would go for now...if they were up for sale instead of in a museum.

Never heard of this model before....nice read.

Rumor has it some HD folks ended up at Yamaha and this was the inspiration for the VMax.... which in its day was one screaming bike

The 1st gen V Max is still a bike not to be taken lightly (to bad they shrank as I don't fit them like I used to...lol), 2nd gen is just plain over the top..

If I had a dog as ugly as that bike I'd shave its *** and make it walk backwards, but I bet it would be fun to twist the grip on that beast.
