Skip the warranty and take your chances. If you have some mechanical skill, you'll probably be able to fix many of the typical problems that come along either by yourself or with some help of your friends.

I'd save the $2000 back for when the bike needs a valve job or valve replacement

I have worked for several OEM manufacturers from Motorcycle to construction equipment. They are laughing all the way to the bank with extended warranty money. I had a manager of extended warranty tell me once that it is the biggest scam in the auto industry.

It ain’t worth a dime if you never use it, it’s a complete gamble.
