Default RumbleOn classifieds?

Anyone used RumbleOn classfieds? Know how it works? If it works? What fees they charge?

It says they can provide services to ship the motorcycle and safely and correctly handle the paper work (title etc) and money transfer. But they charge extra for those service.
I would like to have a way to estimate shipping charges before I would list a bike for sale with them.
Also, do the charge any fee once a sale is completed?
They charge $30 / month to list a bike with them in their classifieds, but I am not sure what you get for that $30.

If you go to their classifieds, right now you will see that have about 1000 ads. If each ad is paying $30 per month, that is $30k/month in revenue to RumbleOn. I would really like to know what we get if we pay that $30.

I am still in the "do I trust RumbleOn" stage. They need more info on their website in my opinion.

I don't have any experience with them, but I sure see their ads everywhere online.

I don't have any direct experience, but I've heard nothing but positive things about them from fellow forum members. I've read that it's pretty simple and quick to get money wired to you, just don't expect to get top dollar for your trade

I am specifically referring to their classified ads.

My biggest concern right now is lack of information. I do not want to place an ad in their classfied ads and find out that transportation costs are sky high or they charge a fee when you sell a motorcycle I can not find anywhere on their website where they disclose all the fees applicable to selling a bike and what exactly is included for the $30/month fee to place an ad. Also, it would be nice to know what the success rate is (ie how many people have actually sold a bike through their classified ads etc)

This is the first I've heard about their classifieds.

Yeah, I think everyone gets that by now.

Have you asked RumbleOn this question (or any of your others)? What did they say?

I'd never heard of RumbleOnClassifieds until this thread. Their proposition seems pretty simple: A classified used bike service exclusively for private party sales. That way sellers aren't competing with all the dealers flooding the other sites for buyers' attention. They also offer stuff like arranging transportation, inspections, title/fund transfers/etc. It's all right there on their website.

Want to estimate shipping charges? That's right there, too.

Anyway, I think you are going about this question all wrong. Looking at what they charge, and calculating that they are bringing in $30k/month doesn't mean anything. What matters, the only thing that matters, is if they are bringing buyers to the site. That costs money. All those ads you see from them are not free. Whether or not the $30/mo is a good deal depends entirely on whether or not they bring a buyer to you.

I don't know what CycleTrader charges for ads, but I would suspect they get more eyeballs than RumbleOn. Obviously, CT doesn't arrange paperwork, money transfers, shipping, etc., but I would give them a try if you haven't already done so.

First, it is not easy to ask RumbleOn a question. Show where I can do that on their website? There is no "Contact US" on the website, is there?

Having said that I did find a way to contact RMBL, which is the stock symbol for RumbleOn. I have sent them two questions, still have not heard. There is a Chat icon on that page. Tried that to. They said to wait for a representative, I waited for a bit, but no-one showed up.

The proposition does seem simple, to simple. Try to estimate a test shipping charge to somewhere. Follow their instructions. I do not know about you, but their instructions lead nowhere. Also, when you click on their "Ready Logistics" icon, it does not take to a place where you can estimate shipping.

Also, there is no info on what fees they may charge after a sale.

I would like to know what services I would have to pay for if I did pay the $30 fee to post an ad. I could not find that either.

In my opinion, all that info should be straight-forward and easily reached from the classified ad website.

I disagree with you on the $30 fee. Do they provide free shipping for all transactions from the proceeds of that $30? If they provided that one service it would make the $30 worth it.

Once you have the software for a storefront such as the classified ad section, the cost to add a new ad is almost negligible.

I think you are wrong about being able to estimate shipping charges. Try it and see if you don't agree with me.

In general, I am wary of a business that does not provide a "Contact Us" link. Ever tried to deal with ebay when they did not provide a "Contact Us" phone number?

One of the most important things to me when dealing with a business which is dealing with money, is the ability to contact someone in the event of a problem.

From what I read, RumbleOn does not arrange shipping, safe transfer etc. They have partnered with companies that we can contract to do those services. Thats fine, but I would like to know , are we getting a special rate for those services because we paid that $30 fee? Are they there for us? or are we there for them?

One of the services is a Loan Service. Go and have a look at that. The companies they have contracted with to provide small loans, have interest rates from 6 percent to about 34 percent. Go and look at those services. I took one look at those and memories come back of some loans that I took out years ago with small loan companies. Hopefully, I will never have to do that again.

RumbleOn has potential, but they have to convince me that they are not just in it for themselves.
