Don't shift around when we stop until both of my feet are planted on the ground. That's a big one for me. Also, as mentioned in a couple posts already, ATGATT, and hold me around my waist. OK, it's not much of a waist, it's more like fat rolls. But, anyway, that's where she should hold on, not arms, not shoulders, or anything like that.
The wifey and I are coming up on 500,000 miles riding a Harley.
She learned all of the rules or regs; whatever you folk want to call them as
we first started riding.
The ONLY thing I have to remind her of is: don't try to steer the bike.
This is usually only after a winter off the bike.
I tell her constantly to help me watch for the FOOLS on cell phones in a cage,
animals and some idiot running a Redlight or Stop sign.............
The oldest "rules" going - Sit down, shut up, hang on.
I always told my wife to stay centered and let me ride the motorcycle. Don't shift weight in turns, don't try to "help" me maneuver.
I also often tell my wife that the $10k I spent many years ago to get her a bike and get her off the back of mine was among the best money I ever spent.
I didn't realize how good my old lady rides, until I took a different girl for a ride. I don't know where she learned to ride (probably don't wanna know) but it is night and day from any other passenger I've had. Half the time, I can't tell she's there.
