Default 1972 Superglide ad

Saw this for sale, Cleveland area. I don't know the seller or much about this early FX.
I don't know why the ad refers to it as a Night Train either. But it's a cool bike.

That's what they were called. Harley just reused the name. Cool it still has the boattail.

Harley also reused the graphics on the 35th anniversary Super Glide.

That boattail is fiberglass, and is usually cracked at the seat pan.
We restored one some years ago...glassed a metal plate into it.

The black version, as listed in the ad, was referred to as a Night Train, because it was black. Get it? Marketing at it's finest.

Fair price for what it is, I don't need it, but wouldn't mind taking it for a spin.

Boat tail Harleys are pretty rare, but someone would have to "really want one" to spring for $15,000.

That '06 FXDC re-creation of the '72 Boat Tail sure is pretty.

I remember guys couldn't take those boattails off fast enough back then. Now, they're rare.

The Dyna Fat Bob rear fender may have also fallen victim to similar removals..
