The Ultra is gone and even though the dealer show didnt happen yet, the dealers have plenty of information. They are already placing their orders for the first wave. I also know this because factory employees order their bikes ahead of time if they want specific colors or upgrades. My friend that gets an Ultra every year has been told he will have to upgrade to the Limited which will no longer include adjustable fairing wind deflectors or heel shifter.
No heel shifter! Its not an Electra-Glide if it doesnt have a heel shifter. Been using a heel shifter for 37 years and Im not about to change. Cant remember for sure but dont you have to pull the inner primary to put a longer shaft for a heel shifter.
They got rid of the saddle bag rails, the front and rear bumpers and now no heel shifter! Sad! I think I need to find me a good used 2008 Ultra.
Can't be worse than GM throwing away their heritage by changing the Corvette to a mid engine design.
While I agree somewhat, the platform of the c7 was at its' end. If you want to win races, you better bring the heat. Kind of like the original GT40's. Personally I liked the C7, but the C8 is pretty badarse from a performance standpoint.

Good riddance to the heel shifter! Saves me a couple of minutes when a new bike arrives.

Because it's a waste of footboard space. I usually take mine off before I leave the dealership. SO much more comfortable without it! Hopefully, it saves me a few bucks...
