My friend that gets an Ultra every year has been told he will have to upgrade to the Limited which will no longer include adjustable fairing wind deflectors or heel shifter.
No heel shifter! It’s not an Electra-Glide if it doesn’t have a heel shifter. Been using a heel shifter for 37 years and I’m not about to change. Can’t remember for sure but don’t you have to pull the inner primary to put a longer shaft for a heel shifter.

They got rid of the saddle bag rails, the front and rear bumpers and now no heel shifter! Sad! I think I need to find me a good used 2008 Ultra.

Can't be worse than GM throwing away their heritage by changing the Corvette to a mid engine design.

While I agree somewhat, the platform of the c7 was at its' end. If you want to win races, you better bring the heat. Kind of like the original GT40's. Personally I liked the C7, but the C8 is pretty badarse from a performance standpoint.

Good riddance to the heel shifter! Saves me a couple of minutes when a new bike arrives.

Is this strictly to cut costs or is there a real world reason behind eliminating the heal shifter.

Because it's a waste of footboard space. I usually take mine off before I leave the dealership. SO much more comfortable without it! Hopefully, it saves me a few bucks...
