I thought this thread was about somebody dropping dead while in motion.
I once went riding with a guy in his mid 70's who had suffered 3 heart attacks. Doctor told him he had about 10 seconds to stop the bike and get off the road if he had another heart attack while riding. I made sure I rode way in front of him and kept an eye on him. He did ride slow.
Hi, I have a 2014 Fat Boy. The bike keeps Dying on me when i am riding it......it dies as it is running out of gas...but i made sure the tank is always full.....i have to wait for couple of mins, and then try to start it again...at time this work and at times it doesn't...
any help will be greatly appreciated.
it could be the Crank Position sensor (CKP), if its signal is missed for more than 2 seconds the ECM shut the engine down by disengaging the System Relay
Interesting. Would need details on what is actually happening. Are all the electrics on? When he goes to re-start and it doesn't, does it crank. I made an assumption tht it cranked, and he had electric, because he didn't mention starter or anything. But I was make assumptions.
when the bad breaker heats up it fails until it cools.
Yes that is why I asked if the electronics would stay on ,and when he tried to restart and failed, did it crank.
So this is the way it happens....when i am ridding...it may stop in the first 1 mile or may be after 3-4miles...i have park the bike..wait for a min to try and start again....have to try this few times before it starts....but this may happen again in few mins.....last week i was on a freeway at 70mph...suddenly it stooped and i had to do the same thing...when i try to restart...it may just crank few times...then i have to again put it off completely and try after 1min...
