First one was a Heart failure. Dead before he hit the guardrail.
Second one was from a bee sting. Acute reaction/shock. Went off into some trees lining Hwy 79, just outside of Temecula. Dead before he hit the tree. (If you have a bee venom allergic when riding, I hope it's a mild one. Dale's wasn't.)
My bike ('07) was doing exactly that. The system relay was going bad. The relay would shut off the fuel pump and the bike would die. A few minutes later it would come back to life. Same exact thing you're describing. A system relay is a $10 part and plugs into the fuse box.
ok, so brought the system relay for $12....but unable to find the spot to plug it in...looked for 1hr..removed battery etc...also checked videos for help....they don't match my 2014 fat boy....
also FYI....the service guy at the dealership said system relay will not solve the problem...as the bike starts after few seconds....

And if that doesn't fix it, it's only a $12 part.
I had a Wideglide that did something similar. Riding down the road, all of a sudden it would die, shut right off,
One day I was so pissed at this, I slammed my fist on the ignition switch, guess what, it came right back to life!
Swapped out the switch and the problem never came back,
