Loosen the cap when it dies and try it. Could be vent issue. Could be filter or pump. Eliminate the cheap fix first.

I had something similar on my softail, turned out to be a faulty voltage regulator shutting the bike down, maybe worth to get it to a dealer and hook it up to their diagnostic computer.

I know someone who had that happened to them when they let a person test ride a bike they were selling.

I was going to bring up cheap leather jackets myself.

I had this happen when a bike ran low on gas. But this does it when hot.

Coil? Are you coasting, idling,or going really slow? You can ohm the coil, but it could be bad and still in spec. If it gets worse it may cut out while riding and backfire when it kicks back in. Oddly enough I had a bad coil that did this only with after market ignition. Coil died either ignition when RPM down.
