Something I discovered the other night, I accidentally twisted the ignition switch too far when I parked and went over to accessory, and the bike kept running....uhmm.....that's bad, right? lol
It's the Road King in my signature, 54k miles.

Ahh that is interesting. No it shouldn't do that. But it stops when you turn to off? I have sigs turned off. The time it took to right my my sig, you could have gave us year and alphabet.
On one hand you say who cares, on the other I say it is the start of failure Unless there were some years, long time ago that did not behave like that. Then again I never tried to do this either. Maybe going through off fast, you were able to catch the spark again with engine running. Have to try this. Sometimes with an engine if you turn back to on fast enough you can keep it going. I do this all the time with riding mower seat.
So I guess less see if it works that way for others. I suppose if you looked at the schematic it would tell you what is powered up.
Same story. Headlight, tail lights turn on, but turn signals and brake lights don't work, same for the dash and gas gauge. it won't start in accessory however, but it will run.
Ya I am thinking if you pass through off fast enough to keep it running it might. If you look at schematic, it would probably just starter disabled in acces . With the idea if you can't start it in acces, no need to block the other stuff. I tried on FI bike, couldn't turn it fast enough.
If you are really bored do it while riding some place by yourself at low speed Though don't leave it off to long, you will build up fuel and have a boom.
