inspections are nothing but cash cows for states without citizens brave enough to vote politicians out of office.
now that insurance is mandatory in all 50, why do we NEED inspections?

Does having insurance to cover your medical expenses make it OK for you to get injured?
edit.......and y'all can just shut up about my bike being too loud......unless you're going to pull every 18 wheeler off the roads first.....and planes & trains too
I'm all for individual rights, but some of you seem to forget that you're not the only one on that PUBLIC road, paid for by all tax payers, and that operating a motor vehicle on any of the public roads is a privilege in all 50 states. You have no "right" to use the roads paid for by all tax payers. If some states want to make some effort to ensure that your vehicle is not a danger to others, that's fine with me. If they don't, that's also fine. Funny how people will bitch about inspections, but not the requirement for a driver's license. Those are real cash cows for states too! LOL
