Does having insurance to cover your medical expenses make it OK for you to get injured?
Cash cows for states? Seriously? Who do you think pays the people doing the inspection?

I'm all for individual rights, but some of you seem to forget that you're not the only one on that PUBLIC road, paid for by all tax payers, and that operating a motor vehicle on any of the public roads is a privilege in all 50 states. You have no "right" to use the roads paid for by all tax payers. If some states want to make some effort to ensure that your vehicle is not a danger to others, that's fine with me. If they don't, that's also fine. Funny how people will bitch about inspections, but not the requirement for a driver's license. Those are real cash cows for states too! LOL

Also I am selfish, guys with obnoxious pipes who rev the hell out of them, are going to cause a hammer to come down on us all. They don't realize people hate us. I lived behind a bar. I used to hope those guys who go in the ditch at 2am when I had to go to work in the morning.
