I get the idea about being concerned about what is on other side. But going slow and staying in your own lane would probably be fine. A lot of it would depend on the route. Also if you can tell where the water is coming from and wide open country, not sure I would be that worried. From the angle of this pic, there lane looks fine. I suppose a guy could swere in their lane to avoid blast. But I think you would also be able to see more as you got close.
I would be more concerned if it was standing water and deep.
Not sure why there would be a giant sink hole for a fire hydrant blowing water.

Your point is well taken, but the water pressure from a fire hydrant is probably a tad more intense then the Seattle drizzle I deal with. Those power lines on the bottom (if those are in fact power lines) are getting blasted pretty good.
But I concede, I've watched Final Destination one too many times.
