Would you ride through this?

Yes, I survived.
One of my riding friends brought up the power lines but we thought it safe as none of the lines were broken or arcing. Took a couple of hours for my clothes to finally dry out....

Apparently, I missed it...or it missed me. Was up there yesterday myself but probably ahead of this excitement, it was around 8am. Had I been, not sure if I'd have gone thru or around...probably the latter, more for the power lines and being blinded to anything oncoming. Glad you made it thru.

Lines on poles are not usually insulated. They are bare copper or aluminum, which is why they put them way up there.
Top 3 lines are transmission, middle 3 distribution. I think bottom 3 is communication, but not positive, don't touch them.
It is possible the water shorted out the lines. Bigger concern is lower votlage lines that may not trip out. Water is a poor conductor. The lines have insulators with bells, water drips off The tranmission lines are protected with something like GFI.
