That great riding roads stretch from northern Arkansas up through central Missouri to the Mark Twain National Forrest. A ride on the state roads and county letter roads around Bixby will keep a smile on your face, and you can also ride to the many large natural springs in that area.
Once you pop out on the southern end of the good part of the Pig Trail, hang a left on 215 to Oark. If your timing is right have lunch at the General Store. Then take 103 into Clarksville.
You're welcome.
Thanks, I've written that route down.
Anything special I should try at the General Store, are they known for anything in particular or is it all pretty good?

Buttermilk Pie. Not my favorite, but it's a local favorite. The angry bird sandwich is good too.

Taking that exact ride tomorrow, then out of Clarksville taking 21/16 to Jasper.

That is some good riding about anywhere off of 32 in that area. My wife's grandmother lived at East Inn just east of Bixby, some of her cousins ran the old store at Boss. This was some years ago.
Great loop. 21/16 is excellent. So is 7, 74, 123........the list goes on and on in that region.
Yep, we came down here 5 years ago based on all the talk on the forum about Eureka Springs and the awesome Ozark riding and we've been coming back every year since.
I personally think the quality of riding in the Ozarks is pretty close to the riding in the Black Hills but everything here's cheaper.
Below is the view from the deck of the 3 BR cabin we rent.
Along with the 3BRs and the view, we've got 40 acres of privacy, 2 full baths, internet, Direct TV, a sauna and an eight person hot tub all to ourselves for only $145 a day.
Try finding that deal in the Black Hills in the summertime.
We're here until Monday and then back to the plains of Nebraska.
