One of the best overlooks in northern Arkansas is on 43 between Boxley and Harrison. The wife and I just got back from a few days riding in Arkansas. We like staying in Branson and leaving early for Breakfast in Eureka Springs. We then take the Pig Trail 23 south to 40. Go East on 40 to Clarksville and have lunch at Big Papas Bbq then take 21 (The Ozark Highlands scenic byway) North to Boxley. You can stay on 21 and head back to Eureka, but 43 takes you thru some of the best riding (including the great overlook) up to Harrison. From there catch 65 back to Branson. The entire ride takes about 12 hours if you take your time and stop a lot, about 350 miles. If you leave Branson at 630 you hit Eureka when the restaurants open at 800, and are back in Branson by 5-600 for supper.
we are heading down to ride the Pig next weekend.
never been down there and looking forward to it.
going to hit up Pig Trail HD dealer sat morning if any of you all are around or close and want to ride along heading back up the pig then taking 23 north to 74 and head home through Mt Home
Great pics & glad you had a good time.... The wife/I & another couple heading down this weekend for 3 nights in the Eureka Springs area & just about all of what you have shown are in our plans as well along with a stop at The Cliffhouse for lunch or maybe just the view. 1 overnight on the way down & 2 on the way back home. Hoping the weather is as good for us as it appears you had!
