I have a Quest and love it--but got tired of having to download the map sections everytime I took a trip. Almost did not have enough memory to lthe route sectionsfor my last seven state trip. So I ordered the Quest II to get the pre-loaded detail maps. Tried it out a few days but found it was just too slow in finding addresses, points of interest or calculating routes.
Ended up sending it back for credit and ordereda Zumo. I realize the Zumo is more expensive, but you definitely get what you pay for.I did not mess with any firmware updates for the Quest II, so that might haveimproved its performance.
Hope yours is faster than mine was. I still keep my Quest as a backup, but Zumo is the main one now.
I'm sure you will like it, I too have a quest 2, however having said that, I just completed a 7,007 mi. trip out west (RT 66) with a firend that had just purchased a TOM TOM with blue tooth, it blows the Quest 2 away. First off you can actual see the screen, & 2 it tells you (with cordless ear plug) the next turn that is coming up. Again I think you will like to Q2, but its old technology
which is also why its $300+ less, lol, I just need something I can program routes into & that can get me home when i go exploring this should do just fine,
