it's GREAT, from a dead stop, you can push RESUME, and it will accelerate and follow the car in front, and stop with it at the next stop light. the only problem is that after 5 seconds or so, it releases the brakes, which can be disconcerting.
it has one HUGE flaw, when a car slows and turns 90 degrees to the right, the "anti collision" braking and the ACC get confused and want to stop very hard before the turning car gets off the radar.
with cruise control on you are no longer riding your motorcycle.
You are riding ON your motorcycle.
......... when i'm heading for the horizon, down a wide open highway in the American West
... i find no need to minutely control the throttle ON my machine
........... that said, group rides are not meant for cruise control
LOL...the anti-tech sentiments in some of these posts are hilarious. However, I did learn that I prefer to be riding ON my motorcycle as opposed to actually RIDING my motorcycle. Seriously dude, WTF?

I would happily sign up to be a beta tester.
My wife's new hyundia has adaptive cruise control and I love it. In heavy traffic I set the cruise control for something silly like 90 mph I can set the distance I want it to keep from the car in front of me which I set as short as possible and I never touch the gas pedal or brake. the car doesn't leave enough room for someone to cut between me and the car in front.
Truck driving neighbor says the technology is a nightmare in driving a semi in city traffic. He says that if you accelerate to get around another truck , about the time you start to change lanes the anti collision, lane wander avoidance kicks in, kills any power and leaves you hanging in the wind...there are tricks, apparently a certain size can fits over the front sensor...

Is it riding or riding on instead of driving your motorcycle? Why isn't it an engine cycle? Parking in the driveway or driving on the parkway?
I never thought I wanted regular cruise control on a motorcycle but now that I've had it on two in a row, I doubt I'd go without it again.

You are riding ON your motorcycle. If I have to explain the difference you will never understand.
My wrist is strong and so is my desire to control my own throttle.
Not interested in the technology discussed here ... Obviously you've not thought about meanuevering your scooter around ( physical input ) while meandering down the road?
