How many people do it? Not proud, but I don't. 7 years 250k. Last one until lines rusted,so maybe 10 years.
Got e thinking I should look. I never suspected loss of brakes. I find this odd.again how much is this bike rode. Though even garage queen surprises me.
What doesn't seem right to me is that the fronts and rears are two separate systems, two different reservoirs. Suddenly BOTH are affected by water in the fluid, at the same time? There's more to this than water in the lines.
if we didn't get the point that you are tech savage and prefer archaic technology, the double post cemented the notion
yes, yes...technology is scary
Now....you do realize that your aversion to technology is fairly subjective right? There are those who think the zippers on your pants are too high tech.
Bawhahahaha! !! What ever I didn't mean to dbl post,I've owned a "newer"efi bike n sold it. Yall can enjoy taking your bike to HD n get bent the fk over I'll repair mine myself.
I don't want the headaches the new machines bring to the owners who don't understand the BS on their bikes. Weren't you the guy who got hosed fer 500$ on an oil change check up at Moco? Exactly what I meant.

What do you use to repair your bike, tools? Own any specialty tools specific to HD? A brake flush utility that activates the ABS HCU is a tool available to the DIY'er for as little as $180.00. It's just another tool in the box for those that refuse to get bent the fk over by the dealer, while keeping up with technology at the same time.
I've got some engine tools. If I was able to figure out easy enough, $180 would be ok. Not saying I'd enjoy it. But I'd pay it before bringing to a dealer

If HD is going to charge me more than the cost of the tools to do it myself Ill buy the specific tool....yes I do own and continue to buy HD specific tools, I flushed my brakes recently w this syringe. Ya can probably do those also,it's not rocket science. This is why I own an Evo,simple, reliable and bulletproof if well maintained.
Just did a cam, lifters n programable ingition last wk.
