The other day I was riding and my speedo which is a led read out type check engine came on. All of a sudden the bike started to spit and sputter and the bike shut down. once off the road the bike was dead. The battery would only click. I had my wife come with the trailer and we brought her home. I hooked up my charger and the battery was truly dead only showing 7 volts on the meter. After letting it trickle charge for two days I brought the batter to the harley shop and they tested the battery and the battery load tested perfect and they said the battery was in good condition. I brought the bike to them and they tested the regulator and stator and so far have not found anything wrong. Any ideas I am worried that the bike will do it again. I hate being left on the road. I've been having major problems with my electrical system on my bike. Specially the starter. I have been getting a nasty chattering sound whenever I try to start the bike. I still haven't fixed it, but the solutions I have tried is a new battery, new selenoid, new relay. Also try changing the relay, worst case you might have to start changing wires. Good luck to you.
