Keep an eye on the temps. Sunny and 30°F, 80 mph blow dry, missed my exit when the throttle cables froze up.

I sure learned that Armor All on a bike is not a good idea. I once applied it to the foot boards and everything else black on the bike. As you can imagine, the Armor All got onto the bottom of my boots and at the first stop I put my feet down and my leg slid. Had to go back home and take that crap off. Never again.

In the back of my head, I always wondered if that was possible. I guess now I know...lol! And to the earlier poster who said "Armor All is making his tires dependent ". Is that stuff like crack? I have never walked into the garage and heard my tires saying "MAN! You gotta give me a fix Man!" "I'm jones-ing bad!" lol! Do they have an Armour All clinic for withdrawal from it? I'd like to get the rest of the mileage out of my tires if I can.

Anyways, I just spray it on a rag and wipe it down by hand. I have a friend who put it on his seat just before a ride, and wiped out at the first intersection he turned into. It was a smooth Jap bike seat. I have never experienced any tire problems from using Armour All or another equivalent. I don't leave it dripping wet either though,....

Ride Hard, Ride On...!

Pressure washed one of the bikes that only get ridden during the summer/weekend literally last Saturday. OP is somewhat correct, you have to be cautious of the wheel bearings and any gasket areas as some of the pressures can take the black right off a kettle. Other than that the water shouldn't be able to penetrate solid metal

Does that make any sense to you? If you try filling your tires with the valve at 12 o'clock [BTW, you don't mention a.m. or p.m.], then all the air will spill on the ground before entering the tire. Obviously, you need to be at 6 [a.m. or p.m.] so the air can flow into the tire.
