Yes, excessive crankshaft run-out will destroy seals. Crank is running out of round so seal replacement might be difficult.

I am not familar with midseason changes in 2007. Do you know somthing, or just figure so, cause yours is ok?

They did change cranks around 2005, and got rid of timken in 2003.
