Default LeNale cooling Fan *BEWARE!!!*

I bought a new LeNale cooling fan for my SGS in 2015.
I Used it maybe 5 or 6 times on long trips out west.

Since new, I noticed that my oil temp would never drop when I turned the fan on

This year, on my trip out west, during the biggest heat wave I ever experienced, The fan never came on. When I returned home ,I contacted Lenale and they said they would fix it for $60.00 dollars on top of the $240.00 I spent buying it.

I don't think Ill be taking them up on their offer. The fan was a POS from day 1.
Anyone looking to put a fan on their bike, research other fans that have a proven track record. Don't buy one just because it looks good on the bike or you'll be wasting your hard earned money.

Oh, and don't eat Retard sandwiches while searching for a fan.
You might end up buying a LeNale Fan.

First off, it's not an oil cooler and a "cylinder" fan will never lower the oil temp by any significant amount.
If you bought the fan to lower oil temp then you should have done more research so you would find that lowering oil temp is not it's purpose.
If you wanted to lower oil temp then you should have bought an oil cooler.

I have a Love Jugs Mighty Mites fan that I've had for a few years.
I'm not a big fan of the fan but if it died tomorrow I wouldn't come on here and trash Love Jugs for it not doing what it was intended for or for Love Jugs wanting repair cost.

Just take the fan off and move on.
If that's the only $250 loss you have in your life you're doing good.

If you want to cool your oil (and that is a good idea) then check out the Oil Cooler/Oil Filter Relo Combo HERE.

This video test is on an M8, but works the same on a Twin Cam-

Just to support the OP, I also had a bad experience with Lanale after purchasing one of their cooling fans for a 2003 Lowrider. I also experieced an early fan failure and lousey vendor support. I crossed them off my vendior list long ago and moved on.

Years back I had one, it went bad and I spent the 60 to get it fixed. Then at some point I heard of Ward Parts Works and bought one of his. Talked to him and person and he even offered to buy my old Lanale fan for 75 bucks just to do tests against it. Well then of course we all know Ward faded and Jugs took over and brought out the small fans. Have had good luck through with the Ward. Has been on 4 bikes totaling over 200,000 miles.
