Wow , that's some crazy S** right there . Hopefully know one was hurt when it went off , definitely a lawn ornament now .

It IS rocket fuel, after all.

Pretty sure it was Jim McClure's motor blowing & damn near killing him in '97 that they instituted safety requirements to 'contain' the engines when they let go.

I have been around some pretty exciting engine failures in my career. It usually involves a "runaway", I was a diesel engine tech. One of my first was an 8.2 liter Detroit that had the rack set incorrectly. All I had was a paperback field manual handy, and I tried to shut off the inlet air at the turbo inlet. It just started ripping the pages of that book and ingesting them LOL
