A 2017 Street Glide that has now just turned over 1800 miles. The description "rode the **** out of it" really means; several bike nights at the dealer and multiple trips to Dairy Queen. Ride the thing; worrying is fear without action to change the outcome. IE its a waste of time.

If not I’ll have a 2020 for very little, because dealerships are supposed to inspect them. And frame damage has to be disclosed. It’s on them.
so if they did something wrong, you should be made whole

it doesn't mean you've won the lottery and you get a brand new 2020 motorcycle as a reward

Do you think there is some judge somewhere who is going to hear your plea and sympathize? Do you think he'll order the dealership to 'pay' for their misgivings and be forced to reward you with a significantly more expensive motorcycle?

you are almost certainly right about that but i am still following the break-in recommendations for my 2020 FLHT -- can't hurt, right? tho come to think of it, it ALMOST hurt for the first 50 miles; keeping the bike at/under 3K rpm was no fun...

Don’t know how this equates to winning the lottery, but if it comes to a lawsuit I’ll only be going for money. I can get another motorcycle elsewhere. That has nothing to do with a judge. But yes I have asked enough questions to the techs and going to get it verbally recorded today at the dealer and I believe I have enough evidence to win a case if it comes down to it. I’ll also be speaking with a lawyer today to get everything in place. None of this damage was in the buyer’s guide or noted in any documents. What do you think winning a suit is, when there is substantial evidence and the judge “sympathizes” per se in your favor? If the dealer wants to work something out then so be it.

I've looked at the damage in the pics and am still trying to figure out just how the bottom of the saddlebag and the support tube got all scraped up. The powdercoat is knocked off the frame in an odd place as well. These are not areas that would contact the road surface during a slide regardless of speed. It must have collided with an object during the crash perhaps a guardrail or something else. I'm sorry for your luck OP but getting down on your hands and knees to give the bike a good once over inspection prior to purchase would have revealed this earlier. And yes...I'm sure the dealer is aware of the damage as any dealer taking this bike in on trade would have inspected it before giving a trade allowance. Good luck with your decision.
