Yeah these bikes have a way of clearing all of the cobb webs and everyday mind numbing problems right outta your head. Its great therapy. Take a look at the link below, it always makes me feel good when I cant get on my bike (like now, Im at work). Its a short video that does a decent job of summing it up.
Yep I call it "Cycle Therapy" I too lost my job from a Mich based company after moving out of state for them. I just go for a ride in the MTNS. it makes things all better. Until the next time I get down anyway.
Ive always called it 2 wheel therapy..you more you need, the futher you go. Theres been times Ive got on the bike togo get smokes and ended up 2 hours away
Sorry about the run of Sh$tty luck. But getting out on the bike does wonders. I dont get adult time at home till after about 9. After helping with my two (4 and 2) I need to get out of the house. I ride to the station and it sits for 24-25hrs. Its nice to get on it to ride home and then chase the kids all day. After day filled of Thomas the train and dirty diapers
Two wheels are a nice change
Eric, sorry about hard times, keep your chin up. I agree whole heartedly, when I ride it makes dealing with life much easier. The old saying about "You never see a Harley parked at a shrink's office unless it's the doctors" comes to mind. Michigan economy sucks for sure, (thanks Jenny!). Hope better times are around the corner.
I'm not a big"Jenny " fan, but she did everything she could to keep that place open, as of october of 2005, Federal Mogul told the city ofSt. Johns, and the state, that the place would stay open. in april of 2006... they announced the closing. it all boils down to corporate greed, and a certain ***** in southfield with a big ego.[:@]
HD therapy makes all the difference in the world for me. I am a much nicer person to be around after a ride, and hard to live with when I don't get out enough. I wish my sweet wife would be more accomodating for the long trips I want to make. That's a real dose of therapy.[8D]

I know what you all mean. Just found out today that our "team" system at work wont be going into effect this pay period. Our manager at the shop told us we were going back on and that one of the benefits of the system was that it would give everyone a steady check. Some times people have really up weeks, and sometimes they have really down weeks. By going on the team system she said, guys that get tough jobs for the pay period wont be screwed. At some point, that tech with a crappy period would have a great period and someone else will be getting the help from him. Fair enough, gives everyone a steady check and everyone will be willing to help out.
Well, last pay period was a HUGE down for me. first week just got crap work, and the second week I got a transmission job (trans on an all wheel drive RX330) . Only problem is I had never dropped a front wheel drive trans before, let alone an all wheel drive setup based off a FWD platform! Some guys are better than others at heavy line front wheel drive; I wasnt one of those guys! I worked as fast as I could but it still took me two days. If I have to do one again, Ill be alot faster than this past time, but because of it, I flagged MAYBE 70 hours for the pay period. Wasnt too thrilled, but I was happy that I was going to be able to get a decent check and bust some major hours out this pay period to help out the "team".
Well, turns out my manager ISNT going to start the team this period after all! She stated "there was too big a difference in hours between some techs". WELL THEN WTF IS THE SYSTEM FOR IF IT ISNT GOING TO BE USED!!!!!?!?!? Well, I know that there are going to be 4 techs out of 10 getting the screw because we were all counting on this system to help out. Sad part is that all the guys flaggin crazy numbers were getting nothing but gravy services and brake jobs!
