Antigravity Jump starters and batteries Customer Service
I had a problem with a Micro - Start XP-1 jump starter from Antigravity. I contacted the Company and even though the unit was well out of warranty I was offered a 40% discount on a new unit and today I ordered a XP-10.
Sonny was the Customer Service Rep. I dealt with and I thanked him for the discount, he replied that if I ever need anything else Batteries, Jump Starters ect... just call and they could give a discount. I asked if it would be OK to pass that along to others and he said "absolutely".
My XP-10 started to "bulge" about 6 months after I purchased it.
Even though the reason for this was due to my error in keeping it plugged in all the time Antigravities replaced it at no charge.
I've researched AG's battery swelling issues in their jump packs. The main reason, among others (according to AG) seems to be exceeding the recommended storage temperature (110° F). The interior of a closed saddlebag, or tour pack will easily exceed 110° F on a regular basis while touring. When you think about it, where would most touring riders likely pack a jump pack while touring? AG customer service replacement discounts not withstanding, I would be leary of purchasing a product that appears to be prone to battery swelling, and possible failure when needed.

Just out of curiosity, 'cause I really don't know as much as I'd like to about this type of battery, is this true with other jump packs of the same battery type too or just limited to Antigravity?
Just used my HD jump starter this morning. Fired up my pick up truck with no problem.
I went to the AG site and could not find a battery for my bike....looks like they have stuff for old HDs, but not the later models
That's odd. I checked the site & you're right. My bike is a 2015 bagger & they have a listing for it. Maybe the site just needs updating... same battery should fit all late model touring bikes?

Do have HD's HOG Booster, and if so, how long have you had it? It looks to be a re-branded NOCO GB40. I hope it continues to be problem free, as the reviews for the NOCO are less than favorable among long term (1-2 years) owners. Not as many swollen battery complaints as AG, but a few NOCO owners have reported it.
