I like it. In the touring rigs you have the GW, BMW, EG, and Royale Star. GW is ugly, no style, after thought, just not an attractive bike(unless your sitting in the saddle then the view and ride is pretty nice). BMW has slick lines, but it just looks plain and un-imaginative. EG, well it made the classic bike class and is the hallmark for the classic touring rig. RS is a modern knockoff of the EG, so why not buy the EG? The Victory is none of that. It has lines and style. Reminds me of like a 50's Buick, with some hints of retro bike, but with a modern flair to it. I say there is penty of room in this market for this bike and I wish Victory well.
I don't know where you guys come up with your numbers, but Polaris has been firing on all 8 and has been doing well. The companies financials and performance have been on a tear. Their bikes look really nice, but it is more form over function and not my bag. But for guys that want that custom bike look the Victories look pretty good. The Vision on the other hand looks pretty good to me. Sadly some of the initial reviews I have read are saying the fuel economy is coming in pretty poor. Testers seem to like the bike however.
I think someone else hit it on the head that most of you guys don't like anything that doesn't have an HD logo on it. Maybe that is it, or maybe you just don't like any bike style other than the classic look HD has built it's image on... Dunno, but Polaris is the real deal and I think this bike is going to be a hit for them. Now if we can see Indian get back on their feet maybe we can get a thriving US bike market with not only competition, but choice... Who would have thought? I say way to go Victory and congrats on this new bike!
Its not a clown, its a frickin plastic JOKE! More like a suped up VESPA!
DING!DING!DING!DING!DING!
We've got a winner.
The "suped up Vespa" is probably the best way to describe that bike.
That's exactly what it looks like to me...I just didn't have the smarts to describe it that way.
