I have this one from the late 70's, zip in liner, still going strong and the zippers and grippers have never failed. Sleeves are long for riding too. I wasn't even looking for one and had no idea who Schott was, I just thought it looked cool and bought it at a garage sale for $40. I'd buy another if anything happened to it. Horse hide feels great and the "footballs" sewn into the armpits are great for reaching. It's more for summer spring and fall riding because it's short wasted and has the low collar.
i have a fxrg harley jacket and i love it. yea it says harley on the back but its embossed and on the front right sleeve it says harley again embossed. it has kevlar on the sholders and the elbows and is removable and has a lumbar support removable, and a inner liner, removable. this jacket will not let you get cold. they dont make the one i have any longer. and i have the leather pants that go with the jacket and zipps to the back of the jacket. i have never worn the pants. but i got them..
Excellent comments above on FXRG leather jacket. I have one and a Fox Creek jacket. Both great and easily available to order and try on. Just saw an email today from Fox Creek offering a 15% off sale. Those guys are first class.

I picked a nice broken-in jacket at the thrift a couple weeks ago. It looks to be ex NYPD w/ removed shoulder patches, no damage. Didn't need but at $35. I couldn't pass up
