A buddy is wanting a Road King and was asking about mine. I've got an 07 Police with the 103"/6 speed and all the hp/tq I need. His logic is that he's not going to get on it and go across country, more of an around town and day-tripper kinda guy (Like me). I've never ridden an 88" bike and honestly can't tell him if that would be enough motor.
If we were to plan a trip to the Rocky's, would he have any problems going up? He's 275#'s
Are you kidding? The RK will have more than enough guts to go to the Rockies or anywhere else he wants to take it.
I ride a Sportster with a considerably smaller motor. I have ridden it long distances and it was enough to pull my fat azz anywhere I wanted to go!
Yeah but I bet that sporty zips up them hills 'cause it's a lot lighter. But I agree that the 88" has plenty of umpf. If he gets the stage 1 and different pipes he'll add some extra haul-a$$ for much less money then adding inches.
