I'm sorry to hear about your local dealer closing, OP.

Yep, this sucks big time. I've bought all my bikes and parts through them. I'm 15 minutes from Salisbury location, 50 minutes to statesville. I've been to the statesville location a few times but never felt home there. Walking into salisbury the people there know you by name and are super helpful.

probably the biggest reason I left the BMW marque after almost twenty years and came to Harley

Ya... I'd have to say if the nearest dealer to me was 3.5 hours one way, I doubt I'd own a HD.

Small dealers squeezed out in favor of mega-dealers who own multiple Harley boutiques with price fixing? Isn't that a violation of Anti-Trust laws?

if they are offering a buy out, does that infer that maybe someone else will be buying that dealership and it'll just be changing ownership?

I live in one of the towns listed in this study: https://www.hppr.org/post/high-plain...ay-researchers
From the article above "Out of towns with populations greater than 5,000 Colby, KS was the most isolated." I spent a night on Colby on a cross country ride and I have to say it felt more isolated and in the middle of nowhere than at any other place we stayed on the ride. I doubt there was a Harley dealer with hundreds of miles in any direction.
