Sure. But that has nothing to do with the question I answered. The thread was titled "Harley stock could crash this week". It didn't. It went up 12% this week.
going up 12%after it dropped 60% is nothing to celebrate. Harley stock could crash this next week too...then again, it may not.
I ride Harleys I dont care about their stock....
I brush my teeth with Colgate, dont care about their stock....
I drink Jack, dont care about their stock....
I wear Levis, dont care about their stock....
I have plenty of other **** to care about especially now....
Not the same. I generally agree with folk who say, 'stop panicking'. But crap stock price means cheaper to buy the firm, or investors nervous it will survive etc.
The reason your examples aren't the same is you don't rely on Colgate or Levi's to keep you going after you bought the product. Rover motor cars went bust over here a few decades ago and getting spares was a nightmare and car values went through the floor.
I dont think that's about to happen, just replying to your post.

The people who defend the stock to the death for the most part wont understand that. They just wont they will blindly follow Harley off the cliff. People vote the same way. They follow thier party to the grave regardless of facts. Then they justify it all away. Ignorance is truly bliss.I keep saying the track record of Harley stock(the subject at hand, not if its a cool bike or not) sucks. I dont see one reason to buy it. Not one reason. Yes someone could make some money in the short term with it. You can basically do that with most stocks. However to make any money you would have to front a lot of money. If Im putting 5-10k down Im not doing it in Harley. There are 100 positions I would rather own than Harley. I invest for the financial returns, not for the sex appeal. I own positions in farm land, Canadian wireless carriers, and trash companies. I dont care if they are cool. I care about the money. No one yet has given me a reason yet to buy HOg stock. When Tesla went down. I bought more. The long term is fantastic. The short term is fantastic
Hell, if you couldnt make money buying stocks in the early 90s you were basically a financial idiot. Todays market is much different...for stocks and for motorcycles.
Too bad you weren't there with your insight and brilliance to counsel
