I only read about the stock market but from what I understand the price of a share of HD stock has declined close to fifty percent this year. IMHO, a crash has already happened. Even a HD m/c doesn't depreciate that fast. But, like I said I don't understand all the intricacies of stock investment and I could just be missing something.

I’m pretty much in the same boat and hopefully it’ll bounce back before the end of the year, once I get back to work I plan on spending money, times like these change peoples philosophy on how life should be lived.

The last time I bought HD stock was in 2008 yes crash time, turned the profit a 2009 SG in 2010 that said thinking about buying again.

About one-third of what it was worth three years ago ...

By way of comparison, Polaris was a tad over $100/share in January; it closed at $63.33 Friday.

First world problems my friend. Many people don't even have 100k to lose. While I understand your pain, I'm recognize that stocks are a long term investment and I plan on leaving everything in so it can rebound (which it will).
