Coming home from an event at Cooks Corners in LA I saw a guy stopped at the roadside with a meager assortment of tools. I did a u turn and went back to assist him. Broken fuel line leaking gas on his engine- tried shortening and reapplying- only cracked more. I told him I would go to Kragen and pick some up for him. Pretty quick fix - he hugged me and thanked me for my time and troubles. I know at least several hundred bikes went right by him- he said no one else stopped. Imagaine the look on his face when he tells his buddies that his helper was a female wearing a shirt that said I pushed the dick off and took control. Do you all usually stop and ask if the biker is OK?
I slow down and wait for a thumbs up before passing by...When I was in high school an old retired 1%er taught me "bikers stop for other bikers" - 20 years later I guess I'm afraid the ghost of Digger will come kick my a** if I don't.
