If you want high quality riding glasses be prepared to pay high price, North of $200.
I picked up a pair of Icicles, at Daytona, two years ago. Aircraft aluminum frame, heavy duty sprung hinges, transition lenses with bifocal, removable cushion, built to last and replaceable lenses.
I love mine, still in great shape after two years, no need to carry different glasses for evening or night riding, can wear with full face or half helmet https://www.icicles.com/collections/big-daddy-bagger
Started out wearing my Maui Jim's until a buddy brought up they're not safety rated so I started wearing some Wiley x that I already had. Lenses aren't as clear as MJ but they're still pretty good and the removable foam padding is nice as it further cuts wind
I recently did the same thing. I ordered some Wiley X online and they didn't fit my face well, there was a gap between my cheek and the bottom of the foam. Finally went to the HD dealer and tried some on to get the right fit. They were 20% off so it didn't hurt quite as bad, but still north of $100. They are the light adjusting lenses so I don't have to change them out riding in the evening or early morning.
Thanks. Ordering on line was not an option for me for the reason you mentioned: poor fit. I wanted to try them on before buying and the HD store was the only place I could do that. Yep, still north of $100 ($135), not even the transition type, but still worth it to get rid of the distortion. I do not wear prescription glasses, only readers. I can see the road signs and such better now.
Still looking for other options, so thanks to others who have/will post.
My favorite pair I've ever worn were Spy Astro but they discontinued the Astros a few years back. I wear Wiley X Ignite or WX Ace now and sometimes a pair of Spy Bounty. I definitely like the Ignite best right now. It fits most comfortably under my helmet.
Buy them by the case. If you scratch them toss them. Fit nicely in helmets and block 100% of the wind for me. Also. If you go into SPECS you can get a bag to store and clean them. I LOVE Adam Sandovals magnetic frames idea but the shape makes me tear up. My oakleys make me tear up too, M-frames and pit bulls.
