The best performing HD motorcycles??? I've heard several comments on this subject. Everyone says that if you want "glam" and retro-looking bikes you pick any other family (VRODs excluded for obvious reasons) but if you want a TRUE motorcycle made by Harley then you should get a Dyna model.
I've tried many Harleys, and IMHO the Street Bob is the best HD bike I've ridden so far when it comes to performance and handling. What do you think? What experience do you have on this?
Not to feed the big heads but I wanted to aska similiar question. A bud of mine has an 02 (I think). His bike hauls ***. I mean to the point where I think he has engine work done. I ride with a bunch of people and have been around tons of Dynas. For the most part, they don't impress me. The difference with this guy and his bike, from the other Dyna owners I know, is that this particulardriver is a full blown nut on the streets. Always wants to race and hot rods the hell out of his bike.
I asked him what kind of engine work he had done and he told me none. He said the only thing he has done to his bike out of the norm is drag pipes, changed the jets to one increment bigger and he uses 110 octane fuel. He could tell I wasn't buyin it so he followed with, Dyna alsocame witha different gear ratio in 02. I would probably believe most of these but his bike pulls way to hard for a stocker. A good example; I have seen himtake of from a red light in 1st gear cruising nromaly, than nail second and loose his traction. The bikes rear end squirelling and burning rubber. That's not a stocker to me.
