Will wax protect black finish from road grim stains?
Hi guys
This is what happened to my primary cover after 3 hrs in rain on highway. Took me 1 hr to clean this mess. Wonder if waxing this cover would help protect finish from staining?
Back when I was poor, I rode a Honda.
Not much in the way of chrome to care for.
I would detail my FIL's Harley, though.
I learned a lot about cleaning and polishing after he
would rub on Black paint or the chrome scratching it.
Today I have my own Harley's to take care of.
Sometimes you can do wonders with Glaze or some 'good' polish........

Wax will certainly help but the sealer should work better and will absolutely last longer. And to answer your question a sealant has to go on first, it seals the product, you could top with a topper if needed then like a wax. But for powder coated I would just stick with the sealant, you aren’t trying to bring out the depth in the paint.
