I had an 09 Heritage that i traded for a CVO a few years ago. I wanted another Heritage so i found another 09 Heritage and it happens to be the same color. Not the same bike but damn close
Dealer said they left 3 messages about me wanting to buy it back. They never got a response from the new owner. What if I wrote the new owner a letter asking him to let me know either way?

I expect the new owner is enjoying the motorcycle and does not want to be bothered.
How do I know the dealer actually tried to contact the new owner?
IMO you're a problem looking for another problem. Let it go. Do you think the dealer is doing this for free? Theyre gonna shake you by the shorties if the owner says yes... Trust me , they contacted.
Like others have said, I would let it go. Only way new owner would want to part with a bike he bought is if he figured out he got a lemon and has buyer's remorse, in which case the old owner doesn't usually want it back. jmo
While not a bike, I did buy a Cat dozer from a guy about 20 years ago. A couple months later he called me wanting to buy it back for same price. He said he only sold it because he was hard up for cash at the time and now was doing ok. I told him I wasn't interested in selling and hung up.
A couple weeks later he called back offering a few hundred more dollars, I told him again I wasn't interested in selling. He sounded miffed and wanted to know how much I was holding out for? I explained I bought it to clear some property, was using it, and wasn't a pawn shop, He was S.O.L. I told him not to call back because I could only further explain it in person. Never heard back from him.
You sold a bike. You did not give a baby up for adoption.
If some SOB shows up at my house about something I bought or sold long ago, it might not end well.
If the damn thing meant that much to you then you should not have sold it.
I have been seeing these types of posts frequently lately both on this forum and other forums I belong to. People trying to track down an old bike, Jeep, or whatever they sold.
I am starting to think that this is some part of a scam, kind of like the harassing phone calls I have been receiving about some real estate company wanting to buy my house.
You are kind of an a** H&&&. There is no need to answer in such an arrogant way, he was just asking a reasonable question.
