i'm not 100% sure what you are asking. if it's a hd vin number, it was assigned at the factory, so it would have to be an original vin. aftermarket or special construction, that's a whole nother story. there are several vin decoders on the internet that help you to 'break the code'. post up your vin (you can leave the last bit off for privacy) so we can see what you got. also would be helpful to know the year that you're talking about.

Im referring to an early model twin cam. The bike looks like all the parts are original but the only way to know for sure is to run all the numbers.
There are numbers on the frame, motor, transmission and springer frontend. You can identify the frame and motor from the title on the bike. The transmission and frontend are not listed on the title but the the numbers were given to the bike so Im going to call HD as suggested and see if I can get the information.
