Default New bike/Used bike?

Good morning,

I am in need of advice. I am looking into getting a motorcycle. It has been 15 years since I road that 4 stroke Honda around my friends 1 acre yard/dirt bike track and a plethora of other smaller bikes before then. The bike I am looking at is the 2020 Fatboy and I was wondering if this was a good bike to start riding again or is it to big and costly for my first bike? I've read/watched as much as I could before coming to this forum(this is actually the first time I've ever posted on one). I'm just looking for an actual peer to peer all b/s aside opinions. thank you in advance.

Take the MSF course at your local Harley dealer. 2020 Fatboy is a fine bike. Too costly? That all depends on your budget. New vs used? Well, knowing what I've traded in, and seeing a ton of people post that they bought a used bike and strange things are happening, I always buy new. But everyone's different.

Right now HD prices are generally high from what I have seen; whether new or used. Personally I will not pay the prices today.
When you see a used bike, check the NADA values against the bike being sold. You may be surprised.
Other than that bad news, I am not sure what to tell you. Wait until closer to February because that is when HD releases it 2021 models.

A brand new bike is always nice. With the 2021 models coming out, you may get a great deal on 2020. Good luck!
