I always get a kick out of the kids that wave to you from the back seat. I always wave back to them and it brings a smile to my face to see them get all excited over a biker waving back to them.

...don't be too cocky vegashd...there are a lot of intelligent riders in the graveyard! It only takes one mistake by a cager on your next ride.

I know that just makes their day.
The other night we were going out to eat. The hubby had been at work and the kids and I got in the truck and met him to go out to dinner. The kids and I were in the truck, and the hubby was behind us on his bike. The kiddos kept turning around in the back seat of the truck and waving to him, and he'd wave back. They just loved it!
MSF made me a better cage driver. I wish everyone had to take the course.
I agree! I've developed new habits in the cage since I started riding. I'm also much more aware of motorcycles since I took the course and started riding. I think I look out for motorcycles when I'm in the cage more than I do other cars. One day I was approaching an intersection and the light turned as I got close to it. Normally, I would have slammed on my brakes to stop at the intersection, but there was a bike behind me. I started to brake for the changing light, but decided I didn't want to put the biker in the position of having to brake too quickly, so decided to go on through. Thatat least gave him the length of my vehicle as extra room to stop for the light. Before I started riding, I wouldn't have even thought twice about it.

Being a first time Harley owner, is it to my understanding that "cagers" can't be friendly towards people on motorcycles or perhaps be a Harley owner themselves or maybe just want to show they like your bike?
While driving my Mustang around, I have all kinds of people, whether on foot, in another Mustang, in a different car or even on a motorcycle give me a thumbs up or a wave. I just assume that they just like my car or are Mustang owners themselves and I just take it as a compliment. I don't find anything weird about it at all.
