We've been e-mailing back and forth today, sounds like he's going to be ok just a banged up knee for the most part. He is VERY fortunate, apparently there was no one in front of him at the light, or he would have ended up as a bumper sandwich.
What's sad is, the bike he was on was a 1987 Rebel his late uncle had willed to him. He had admired it when he was younger, and ended up with it when his uncle passed, so it was kind of special to him.
In the end it's just the fact he survived in fairly good shape that matters...
