Harley and Apple are both premium brands. Apple is in the process of releasing a new line of MacBooks with their new processor. The day after these products were announced, they collaborated with Youtubers to answer questions about the new products. Now some of these you tubers tried to ask the tough questions and some just patted Apple on the back but I think it goes a long way working with you tubers to help get that product information out there and this also hits a large portion of their demographic that they are trying to sell to. If Harley wants to reach new riders, a lot of people live on YouTube nowadays. Just my thoughts
I'm not quite sure why people like regurgitated same ole **** iphones but hey, their is a sucker born every minute
The same reason that the sheep keep buying the same ole HD's... sucker born every minute. Apple changes a processor, camera or some internals, puts it in the same shell and ups the price. MoCo, changes an engine puts it in the same frame, throws on the same tines.. ups the price and the sheep buy them... Nobody demands better for the money they fork over.

I got a good chuckle out of that and.....so true.

It's really not all that true though. Look at the Vrod. Revolutionary in terms of design and a lot of input was received from outside the MoCo. It was overall, a flop and they received criticism because it wasn't a "Harley." The consumer, whether you or others in the past, have created the market we have now. At this point, people keep buying the bikes, why would they spend money to do something different?
Same with Apple. Steve Jobs said years ago that he was only interested in outpacing himself. Make something better each year and not be the revolutionary product like Samsung, but instead, be the stable product. Sadly, people eat it up and buy the phones and devices and will again next year. The way they're going with removing features, I'm surprised the phones still have screens. But they created their own market and we are all stuck in the bed we made.
Oh hey, fun fact. If you go into settings on your iphone you can turn on screen capture by tapping on the "apple" logo on the back of the phone.

well phones long stopped just being phones, now the focus is on the cameras. however this year is the first year with 5G support across many vendors so I expect a lot of people will line up. I am tempted but I may wait for the next year model as the efficiency of the 5G modem is lacking.
Apple is the type of company Harley never could be, Harley gave up innovating and a good chunk of that blame falls on their dealers and riders. People love to blame the company but just watching the reactions to real improvements to existing bikes is proof enough a good portion of the customer base is toxic to the brand.

mostly short sighted viewpoint there. in the case of the iPhone, change the processor, the camera, and some internals, and you have effectively changed the complete phone. okay so the outside package looks similar, but seriously, how much can you change a box? in hd's case, there have been many significant upgrades since your 2009. but, to their credit, if you are still happy with your 09, then they must have made a decent product.
