I'm in the market for a standard Road Glide and was wondering if anyone could share a recent purchase experience. I'm sure there's not much for discounts but how about free service, parts discount, etc.? I would consider purchasing anywhere from Tampa to Melbourne.
Thanks for the help
hey you can negotiate whatever you can get the dealer to agree to. You might get a free 1000 mile service, you might get 20% off parts on the day of purchase. You probably will get a T shirt with the Dealer's name on it and that's probably all. The old days of lots of freebies are gone but dig your heels in if you want some discounts off parts.
According to people on FB, anything over $25k OTD for a brand new RGS is a vast overpay lol
I'm not in Florida so I can't speak directly on that, but anything below MSRP seems to be a "good" purchase. I paid MSRP for mine and instead negotiated for a much higher trade in value (truth be told, my negotiation was saying "I would need to be blown away by my trade in value" and that's it).
From what my bike was worth according to NADA, I got $2200 or so above that value. In effect, that felt like me getting my bike for $27k instead of the $29k MSRP.

And how many of those FB'ers actually dropped a nickle of their own during the pandemic? lol.... Right now, demand is hi and supply is low.. MSRP is expected, I heard of a dealer throwing in prep and a discount in the parts dept.. IMO, thats the reality of december 2020.

And that's just it, maybe before Covid there were good deals to be had, but right now this seems to be our reality.
I'm sure there's a portion of those folks walking out with $25k bikes are also pumped to be paying HD's 4% interest on their bikes too, bumping that killer OTD price up to $29-31 by the time they pay off the bike.
I just purchased my 2020 Road Glide Special in Zephyr Blue last night for 30K. I was able to negotiate handle bars into the deal also. Lots of places do not do freebies anyone, unfortunately.
Last week 2020 RG limited with RDRS in Zephyr blue Out the door every thing and my WHIM from my wrecked bike installed. And some other parts recovered from my wreck bike $31,000
Another forum member here has bought a couple of bikes from them and says they are a volume dealer and easy to work with. Brandon, Tampa, New Port Richey are all owned by the Ferman auto group. I won't ever give them an opportunity for a sale.
