Sometimes we have to be a little aggressive while passing, what do you think.
While on my way home from work on the new Hot Rod Bagger, came up behind a slowpoke with a streetrod between us.I leaned out to pass, the streetrod did as well,he would not pull over to let me by,a little more loud pedal and away I went out in the breakdown lane around him.Man, that felt good.
Since I've finally gotten my scoot exactly how I want it (motor work,18" wheels and tires and such) I personally don't believe that most of the rules of the road apply to me any more. My bike runs and handles better than any HD I have ever owned and I feel I can handle any road situation that comes up. Now that doesn't mean I'm out there doing stupid crap all the time but I go as fast as I want, pass who I want, and basically have a GREAT time EVERY time I go riding. I'm not endangering anyone but myself and I don't think I'm even doing that, I just believe that with the way my bike runs and handles along with my experience I can handle 99% of what comes up.Sorry for the rant and I certainly don't think I'm better than anyone else its just where I'm at right now. Oh,yeah........I'm not interested in hearing from the PC Committee on this forum I already know what they think []
The biggest advantage to passing is that you leave trouble behind you. I occasionaly ride in Houston traffic and it's far safer to be doing 80 and passing those crazies on the cell phones than to be rear ended while they are talking to.... Atleast you can see what's happening in front of you and can take positive action. The LEOs don't get involved unless there's an accident.
The best defense is a good offense, right? I'm not sittin' in a bad spot any longer than I have to! If I see something I don't like, I'm GOOOOOOOOOOOOONE----------------------------------------->
Thing I hate is that once some of the slow pokes realize you want to go around they will try to block you like they are the f*^%ing hall monitor or somthing. Just move over and let me pass for crying out loud!

Maybe they don't want to let you pass because they're afraid that they're going to be whipped to death by those fancy tassel things.
