The fad stuff on the bikes never appealed to me. But I can live with it. What drives me nuts is the vests with the self appointed nickname and the stupid patches. That is trend that should die. More laugh worthy than any slogan etched in chrome.

Never understood the obsession with 2 things
1. Naming your bike
2. Road name
Dude, you're "Dave" - the guy from the parts counter. You are not "Bruiser" just because you ride a V-star 4 hours a month on the weekends. You're not even 160lbs...
It's the most "Wild Hogs" thing ever and that's not a good thing.

I name my bikes so I'll have something to call them when I talk to them. I'm going out to the garage now to visit "Billy".

Every bike has its own style which is what I like about the whole thing. So I don’t care what others have on their bikes. I ask OPINIONS if I’m leaning one way or the other on a particular set up. I will always go my own way. In the end I do own a Live to Ride/ Ride to Live fuel cap while riding without a helmet, but that’s just me. As for skulls, never was into them but as you can see in my cowboy image its a skull indeed, different but a skull none the less. I like it.

Guess you just have to have that certain something you don't have, guys name things they get attached to, been a thing since we discovered a favorite stick to kill the next meal with. The old shovel earned her name but we've been together longer than most marriages, it's outlasted one of mine and too many temp playthings to count.
Road names, the real deal you end up with because it was hung on you by your buddies or brothers for any number of reasons, sometimes not very glamorous or flattering ones. Basically you earn it somehow
.
Little punks making up their own to sound macho is just wanna-be's play acting bad boy. And I agree, you can tell who's who and it's funny and sad at the same time.
