Default New slip ons ordered

Went for first ride on new SG yesterday. Love the bike but wow is it quiet. Just ordered a set of Cobra Neighbour Haters for it. Hopefully that brings back the HD sound and not like a Singer sewing machine it sounds like now. Anyone running these and how do you like them?? Tia

The neighbor haters will definitely be louder, in an obnoxious way. One of the reasons the M8 lost some of the Harley deep rumble was by going from one large exhaust valve to two smaller ones per cylinder. The two do give better breathing but the sound wave is more spread out. One way of helping this is with a good torque cam. My M8 sounds pretty good with the SE Street Canons and HD Torque Cam. On long high speed touring runs I wouldn’t want anything louder.

Going to keep everything stock except planning on Tab Performance slip on mufflers. So I have only 200 miles on it, seems to me no need for extra power.

I had the same prblm, bought a new bike and hated the quiet m8.. my first thought was neighbor hater also but after watching some videos and doing some read on them I figured out there still to quiet for my likings.. best ones I could find to meet my needs was Tab with zambies baffles or svt boneshakers.. I ended up getting Tabs with zambie baffles.. I put them on today and man did they wake the bike up.. love the sound...

I (we) have a total of three bikes and one trike.

I put the V&H Twin Slash Rounds (sip-on's) on my '18 Tri-Glide (sounds much better than stock) and it's not annoying on long trips even when I wear a FF Mod helmet.
My wife's Heritage (T/C96) has the dual "short shots" exhaust and IMHO is "acceptably" loud, even on a long trip.
My CVO Ultra (T/C110) has the Rinehart XT True Duals and is just about as loud as the V&H "short shouts" but being that they are longer, the noise is farther behind the rider.
My Heritage Springer is a carbed EVO with straight Samson (slip-ons) and it is by far the best sounding bike (in volume and idle) in our garage but it is in no way a good, long-trip bike!

It all depends on what you want and how you ride.

+1 on what TriGeezer said. While I didn't mind at first how the M8 sounded, it got more disappointing the longer I had it. How a bike sounds is a relative thing but after putting on some slipons that work well with the M8 and getting that torque cam, it sounds much better. You wont get that TC sound but it sounds good in its own right.
