Hey all, so lately when I've been riding the red light on my speedometer will pop on but only seems to come on while I'm on the freeway or high speeds for a while. Then shuts off often when I go back to slow riding. Tonight though, it came on right after getting on the freeway and stayed on. Can someone please tell me where to begin to check and fix this?
Every since I changed my lights to leds I have a constant red key shaped light lit up. From what I understand its because its reading the wrong voltage and l believe that I need a load equalizer for the voltage. I believe the key light is something to do with the key fob alarm.

Care to tell us what bike we are talking about?
Shot in the dark, guessing which year range: check all of your lights. Did you happen to install a cheap LED headlight, recently? Check your taillight, brake light, headlght (hi and lo) turn signals, etc.

Look it up in your owners manual. Look it up in your shop manual. Look it up on the inter web. Sheesh !
I had a similar situation last week. Bike has been sitting over winter and was its first run of the year. I checked the fault codes when I got home and found it was the front brake light sticking on. Bit of WD40 on the lever switch and all was well.
Again, what bike are we talking about here? It's very possible someone here has the same model and can be helpful. Harleys may all look alike, but there are differences between models and years.
I get the red dot staying on once in a while. Always goes away on its own, just cycle ignition once or twice. Think it’s security system related. Make sure fob has good battery. Ride on.
